Our calculations suggest that this equates to approximately 20,000 – 22,000 real estate transactions, assuming an average purchase price of €150,000.

English is the Language Most Used by International Buyers.
However, there have been enquiries in over 50 foreign Language variations other than Portuguese, covering 92% of all property purchases.
The top 10 language and country variations below represent 68% of all enquiries and 67% of the gross market value.
English is the dominant search language for international buyers in Portugal, with 57% of all enquiries and 65% of the overall gross market value.
The top ten locations listed below attracted approximately 84% of all enquiries and almost 90% of Portugal’s gross market value.
